/ Manual Therapy
The purpose of laryngeal manipulation is to adjust the soft tissue structures around the larynx to improve vocal function. The paired and unpaired cartilage of the larynx is all suspended from the hyoid bone from various muscular and ligamentous slings.
If you have a vocal pathology, then keeping the in/extrinsic laryngeal muscles as free as possible is the place to start your healing, along with Vocal Rehabilitation Coaching or Speech Therapy.
This service is only available from Stephen, as he has trained with the pioneer of laryngeal manipulation, Jacob Lieberman on two separate occasions. Stephen has also written his own masters level literature research on the benefits of laryngeal manipulation as part of a multidisciplinary approach to healing.
Here you can see Laryngeal manipulation being done in real time, and hear the improvements in this pathologic voice.
With Modern Vocal Training, Stephen now teaches this work to singing teachers around the world.
Not only can Laryngeal Manipulation help dysphonic voices, but it has been shown that spinal adjustments can positively affect pathologic voice use. Stephen combines spinal manipulation, advanced clinical massage and laryngeal manipulation for the ultimate, specialised package.
